Job summary

PTi is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to analyze malfunctions, repair, rebuild, and maintain a wide range of heavy equipment. The role requires inspecting, disassembling, and reassembling machines, welding, and ensuring safety and environmental standards are met.

The candidate will work under the McNamara-O’Hara SCA and must be able to operate with hands-on supervision, handle heavy parts, and coordinate with contractors as needed. A valid CDL and relevant technical training are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience inspecting and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic components on heavy-duty military vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance activities and/or equipment operations at performance sites.
• Develop maintenance procedures, allocate workload, and monitor equipment status.
• Monitor relationships with the customer and maintain logs of daily activities.
• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and overhaul power equipment including cranes, shovels, scrapers, bulldozers and pumps.
• Weld broken parts and supervise ancillary workers as needed.
• Adhere to PTi safety, quality, and environmental standards.
