Job summary

PrimeTech International, Inc (PTi) is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to analyze malfunctions, repair, rebuild and maintain power equipment—cranes, bulldozers, dredges, and more—at local performance sites. The role involves diagnosing defects, dismantling/reassembling machines, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience inspecting and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic components on a wide variety of heavy-duty military vehicles using computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skilled in planning, controlling, executing, multi-tasking, and being responsible for the successful completion of work requirements.
• Ability to effectively read and write in English, comprehend written instructions, perform common mathematical tasks, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance activities and/or equipment operations at the local places of performance.
• Develop maintenance procedures, ensure implementation, allocate workload, supervise contractor employees, and monitor equipment status.
• Monitor and manage relationships with the customer.
• Keep maintenance logs, report on daily activities, as well as
• Ensure health and safety policy adherence.
• Analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds, and maintains power equipment.
• Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects, dismantles, and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools, examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges, replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions, and tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Welds broken parts and structural members.
• May direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
• May repair, adjust, and maintain mining machinery, such as stripping and loading shovels, drilling, and cutting machines, and continuous mining machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned in association with established Management and Contract Compliance Plan, and workload requirements, etc.
