Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a working knowledge of standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in repair and maintenance of machinery and engines.
• Knowledge of safety issues in tool/equipment use for repair of equipment.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics for engines and driveline components.

Responsibilities

• Lead two or more Service Technicians; schedule and supervise work.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and engines.
• Fabricate, modify, and install special equipment or replacement parts.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance.
• Repair track drive sprockets, rails, and hydraulic systems.
• Read hydraulic and electrical schematics and operate diagnostic tools.
• Maintain tools, workspace, and safety practices; train junior staff.
