Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation Vocational Tennessee is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to install, troubleshoot, and operate special systems on the McNeilus Volterra Electric Refuse Collection Vehicle. You will lead and train the operations assembly team during build and final inspections, ensuring safety and quality.

Responsibilities include reading electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, diagnosing issues, and performing first-time installations and functional tests.

Qualifications

• The Manufacturing Technician must have a high school diploma or GED and 5+ years of mechanical experience in automotive or machinery applications.
• Must have mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience and the ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience with JD Edwards and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and operate special systems on McNeilus Volterra Electric Refuse Collection Vehicle.
• Lead and train the assembly team during build, inspections, and system handoffs.
• Read schematics and diagnose issues; perform functional testing and first-time installations.
• Maintain safety around high voltage and high-pressure systems; operate lifts and forklifts.
