Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead heavy civil and site development projects across Westchester County and the tri-state area. You will own projects from planning through completion, coordinating earthwork, grading, underground utilities, roadwork, and site development with field crews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
• 1+ year of earthwork, excavation, and grading experience.
• Strong ability to read and understand construction plans and specs.
• Experience managing or coordinating projects, schedules, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Underground utility experience (sanitary sewer, storm drainage, or water systems) preferred.
• Site development and excavation contractor experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy civil and sitework projects from planning through successful completion.
• Coordinate project schedules, field operations, subcontractors, vendors, materials, and resources.
• Oversee earthwork, excavation, grading, site development, and underground utilities.
• Collaborate with Superintendents and field crews to maintain schedules and efficiency.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.
• Coordinate underground utility work (sanitary sewer, storm drainage, water systems).
• Track progress, budget, change orders, documentation, and deadlines.
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, utility providers, and other stakeholders.
• Identify risks and resolve scheduling, field, and coordination issues.
• Support roadway, infrastructure, and site improvement projects regionally.
