Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale underground utility and deep sewer pipeline projects. This high-autonomy role requires taking ownership of execution, financials, and team leadership in a demanding heavy civil environment.

You will manage multi-million-dollar projects, mentor staff, oversee preconstruction and strategy, and ensure profitability while maintaining safety standards on active job sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 15+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
• 10+ years managing complex projects.
• Strong background in deep sewer pipelines / underground utilities.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver heavy civil projects ranging from $10M–$100M+.
• Manage and mentor teams of 10+ staff.
• Oversee preconstruction, estimates, and execution strategy.
• Run multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule and cost control.
• Own project financials, forecasting, and profitability.
• Negotiate contracts and manage change orders.
• Build relationships with owners, municipalities, and agencies.
• Identify risks early and solve problems quickly.
• Support repeat business and client growth.
• Drive jobsite safety and accountability.
