Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Healthcare Quality Engineer to drive QA initiatives across healthcare apps. You will lead testing, build automation, and integrate tests into CI/CD with teams across business, development, and stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities include test strategy, automation maintenance, API and data validation, and adherence to Agile SDLC principles in a remote role open to Eden Prairie, MN applicants.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software quality engineering experience including manual and automation testing.
• Hands-on automation framework development using Java, TypeScript, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Protractor, Cucumber, TestNG, and JUnit.
• Experience with API, database, mobile, and cross-browser testing.
• Strong healthcare domain experience, especially prior authorization, utilization management, provider portals, and clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end quality engineering activities including test strategy, planning, execution, defect management, and release validation.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Create and execute automated and manual test cases for functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, API, database, mobile, and cross-browser testing.
• Perform API testing and performance testing using listed tools.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
