Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Health Information Specialist to join our Atlanta-based team. You will receive and process requests for patient health information, maintain confidentiality, and use facility software to manage records.

This full-time role requires 1 year of health information experience, a high school diploma, and willingness to travel locally. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, file documentation, and assist with training and QA tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and 18+ years old.
• 1 year Health Information related experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong data entry and confidentiality handling of medical records.
• Professional verbal and written communication in English.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
• Maintain working knowledge of facility software.
• Respond to requests for patient records and transmit appropriately.
• Create digital images of paperwork for EMR storage.
• Assist with onboarding and training activities for new employees.
• Generate reports for manager or facility as directed.
