Job summary

Civicworks in Florida seeks an advanced Health Educator Consultant to lead grant initiatives focused on substance use prevention and harm reduction. You will collaborate with health experts, local partners, and workgroups to implement evidence-based strategies and policy changes in Okaloosa County.

You will develop educational materials, coordinate community partnerships, and analyze health data to inform interventions and improve community health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of community dynamics and substance use prevention, harm reduction, and community health improvement
• Experience with grant program implementation, data analysis, and evaluation of health promotion strategies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders including first responders, treatment providers, and community agencies
• Ability to develop culturally and linguistically appropriate educational materials and conduct community needs assessments
• Experience with policy and systems change initiatives related to public health priorities

Responsibilities

• Lead for the Overdose Data to Action grant and Opioid Abatement Program in Okaloosa County
• Collaborate with health specialists, community partners, and local workgroups to implement evidence-based strategies and policy changes
• Develop educational materials for communities
• Coordinate the Post Overdose Support Team and Overdose Fatality Review initiatives
• Collect and analyze health data to guide interventions
