Job summary

SERTC at MxV Rail seeks a Lead Instructor to drive hazardous materials emergency-response training across Pueblo and remote sites. The role blends classroom leadership with field exercises, emphasizing safe, engaging student experiences and aligned curriculum development.

With a strong background in hazardous materials and instructional delivery, you will design objectives, guides, and assessments while supporting business development and client outreach.

Qualifications

• Ten years of working knowledge of hazardous materials emergency response.
• Ten years of instructional, public-speaking, education, or training-delivery experience.
• Current HazMat Technician certification; Firefighter I/NFPA 1081; Fire Instructor I; flam-liquid firefighting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom instruction, supervise field exercises, and coordinate all SERTC training programs in Pueblo and at remote locations.
• Translate technical subject matter into clear learning objectives, lesson plans, instructor guides, participant materials, assessments, scenarios, and learning experiences.
• Review evaluation data to recommend measurable improvements and maintain consistent learning experiences.
• Coach instructors in facilitation, assessment, and course-delivery needs.
