New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) seeks a Community Service Aide to support the Healthy Homes Unit in performing lead hazard control visual assessments and lead dust wipe clearances in NYCHA developments. The role requires working under supervision, entering data in Maximo, and communicating with residents to gain access.

These are temporary six-month positions with possible extension, requiring minimal formal education and a willingness to travel across the five boroughs to complete

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and carry out simple instructions.
• Spanish may be required in some cases.
• No formal education requirements for this position.

Responsabilités

• Perform visual assessments of paint conditions in apartments.
• Perform lead dust wipe clearance in apartments.
• Distribute notices for work conducted.
• Keep records of visual assessments and dust wipe clearance documentation.

• Complete simple reports on activities performed.
