Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California is seeking a Product Design Engineering Program Manager to drive the development, validation, and assembly of mechanical components for new Home products, from architecture to mass production.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage prototypes, schedules, and risk, ensuring design goals and quality while communicating status to executives. A strong ME background and proven leadership are required, with potential international travel.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in program management or mechanical engineering design in product development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive upstream component/module builds to fulfill system engineering build demands.
• Manage design releases and tooling kickoff with PD Engineering and vendors.
• Collaborate across engineering teams, operations, industrial design, and vendor partners to meet quality, schedule, and cost goals.
• Understand technical issues and design trade-offs; drive to closure with stakeholders; facilitate decisions.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies; manage conflicts within and between teams.
• Create and maintain complex project schedules for product enclosure and internal mechanical components.
• Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management as priorities shift.
