The role

As a Lead Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, rapid prototyping, testing, and integration of advanced avionics and sensing systems designed to operate in challenging, non-terrestrial environments. You will take ownership of projects from initial concept through field testing and work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, with the potential to build and lead your own hardware team as the company grows.

• 5+ years of experience designing hardware end-to-end in an industry setting.
• Experience with both analog and digital circuit design and testing.
• Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, LTSpice).

What will make you stand out

• Experience designing hardware for aerospace, high-altitude, or other challenging non-terrestrial environments.
• Experience writing embedded software, particularly within an RTOS environment (e.g., Zephyr, FreeRTOS).
• Ability to navigate and utilize MCAD software (e.g., OnShape, Fusion, SolidWorks).
• Demonstrated success thriving with a high level of autonomy and applying scrappy, unconventional problem-solving approaches.
