Lead Hardware Design Engineer (PCB/Mechanical/Weather), $170,000-200,000, SF based

Lead Hardware Design Engineer (Mechanical) sought for a fast-growth Weather AI startup based in SF. We are looking for a Lead Hardware Design Engineer who can prototype avionics and sensing systems and you will have the opportunity to own projects from ground-testing to manufacture and design. This is a really exciting opportunity to work closely with C-Level and then build a team as they grow.

The Lead Hardware Design Engineer will be designing and developing systems focused on stratospheric data and owning end to end ownership of PCB design, testing and integration. Equally the Lead Hardware Design Engineer will be working closely with software & mechanical engineers and supporting flight-testing campaigns.

This role is offering up to $200K + many other benefits.

The Lead Hardware Design Engineer will ideally have:

• 6+ years experience designing hardware end to end
• Solid commercial experience with analog and digital circuit design and testing
• Great mix of mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge
• Experience with PCB design tools (Altium/KiCad etc)

Bonus points for the Lead Hardware Design Engineer if you have:

• Experience designing for space or high-altitude systems
• Embedded software programming in an RTOS
• Aren't afraid of startup feel problem solving and working with automomy
