Job summary

Meta Reality Labs is seeking a Product Cost Engineer to own the financial health of hardware products from ideation to end-of-life. You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Product Management, Sourcing and Finance to drive budgets, costs and supply continuity.

You will develop cost targets, build models, and push cost-reduction opportunities with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include tracking costs vs targets, outlining risks and opportunities, and leading reviews to ensure cost

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing & Operations Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in product cost management for hardware.
• Strong operations and supply chain knowledge with good communication.
• Experience applying analytical methods to cost or supply chain challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional teams in cost reporting and management of Total Cost per Unit.
• Develop cost models to guide product category decisions.
• Drive supply chain and scalability strategies using cost data.
• Collaborate with hardware and sourcing teams to meet cost targets.
• Track actual vs targets and propose corrective actions.
• Lead cost reviews and risk/opportunity reporting.
