Handyman Joe in Omaha, NE is seeking a Lead Technician to take ownership of a variety of residential and commercial repair projects. You will lead by example, mentor junior technicians, and deliver high-quality workmanship on every job.

This role requires hands-on multi-trade expertise, strong customer communication, and the ability to read work orders and blueprints. You’ll manage tools and materials, ensure safety, and maintain an organized, efficient job site while keeping clients satisfied.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on handyman, general contractor, or skilled trades experience.
• Proficiency in multiple trades including carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic plumbing/electrical.
• Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage tasks and support a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or project instructions.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute a wide variety of residential and commercial repair and maintenance projects.
• Perform skilled trade tasks including carpentry, drywall, plumbing repairs, electrical fixes, and general maintenance.
• Communicate directly with customers to assess needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
• Manage job site materials, tools, and supplies to ensure efficient project completion.
• Mentor and guide junior technicians on best practices and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment on every job site.
