Job description

My early stage Ed Tech client, San Francisco, are looking for a Lead Growth Engineer with 1+ years of full-time experience to become the founding engineer of their growth function.

Client has just publicly launched its AI teacher for kids and is shifting from product building to growth discovery, so needs a multifaceted builder who blends engineering fundamentals, product craft, and business intuition. You might be an ex-technical founder, a former FDE, or a growth engineer with proven playbooks and the numbers to back them up. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that can grow into more for an exceptional person.

What will you be doing?

• Chasing big-swing growth ideas, not incremental optimization, to find new avenues for user acquisition that don't rely on paid channels
• Designing and building growth loops into the product so existing families help reach more kids and parents
• Rapidly prototyping features, launching them in the real world, measuring signals, and making quick calls on what to invest in
• Owning growth features end to end across mobile, web, and backend, using AI coding tools to move fast

1 - 12 years of experience as a growth engineer

Salary $175K - $235K + 36 paid days off, 100% employee healthcare coverage (50% for dependents)

Hybrid, 3 days in-office in the Mission, San Francisco
