Job summary

Families & Youth Innovations Plus (FYI+) in Las Cruces, NM is seeking an independently licensed Group Therapy Therapist to lead and supervise evidence-based group therapy within our Outpatient Services. You will facilitate and oversee therapy groups, ensure clinical integrity, and maintain compliant documentation in the EHR system.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling or Family and Marriage Therapy.
• Current Independent New Mexico State License (LPCC or LMFT).
• Certification in Clinical Supervision, or willingness to obtain within two months of hire.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work 40 hours weekly.
• Willingness to work non traditional hours.
• Strong emotional resilience and stress management skills.
• Capacity to make rapid and sound clinical decisions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate therapeutic groups using evidence-based modalities (psycho-educational, process, skills, DBT).
• Provide group therapy and related services per agency standards.
• Oversee and supervise non-independently licensed clinicians and paraprofessionals in group therapy.
• Maintain timely and accurate client records in the EHR for group participants.
• Ensure continuity of care and access to services for group participants.
• Collaborate with team regarding client care and group progress.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation within group settings as needed.
• Work with multidisciplinary team including clinical supervisors, case managers, and peers.
• Maintain professional conduct and clinical integrity with clients and colleagues.
