Job summary

Matrix New World Engineering, a part of True Environmental, seeks a senior groundwater modeler to lead flow and solute transport modeling in Arizona. You will mentor junior staff, interface with clients, and manage budgets across multiple projects.

Applicants should have 10+ years in groundwater modeling, a geology/hydrogeology degree (master’s preferred), and proficiency with MODFLOW, MT3D, FEFLOW, Groundwater Vistas, ArcGIS Pro, and Python.远

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years in groundwater modeling/hydrogeology/water resources and/or the engineering/environmental remediation sectors
Proficiency with MODFLOW, MT3D and FEFLOW suites and Groundwater Vistas GUI
GIS and Python scripting proficiency
Extensive groundwater modeling experience in Arizona and the arid Southwest
Senior leadership experience (≥2 years) and project management skills

Responsibilities

Lead and manage groundwater flow and solute transport modeling projects including CSM development, model design, construction, calibration, and uncertainty analyses.
Lead data acquisition, analysis, permitting support, and report preparation for groundwater resources and environmental projects.
Oversee multiple projects with budgeting, cost estimating, and invoicing responsibilities.
Manage day-to-day operations of the groundwater modeling team and serve as the main client liaison.
Interface with clients and regulators on project execution and permitting requirements.
