SKYLAKE Adventures in Sheridan, Indiana, is seeking a Lead Groundskeeper to oversee daily grounds and facilities operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and guest-ready environment year round.

You will lead a team of Grounds and Facilities Technicians, coordinate seasonal maintenance, and partner with the Facilities Manager to manage equipment, inventory, and safety compliance across outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership to motivate and support a team.
• Hands-on groundskeeping and facilities maintenance experience.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and make quick decisions.
• Excellent communication across departments and teams.
• Physically capable of manual labor and lifting materials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily grounds and facilities operations to keep the venue clean, safe, and visually appealing.
• Lead, schedule, and support Grounds and Facilities Technicians to meet standards.
• Inspect beach, walkways, landscaping, and common spaces for maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Coordinate landscaping, cleaning, waste removal, snow/ice removal, and seasonal prep.
• Manage event setup/breakdown and equipment inventory with the Facilities Manager.
• Train and mentor technicians to promote safety, attention to detail, and teamwork.
