Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead landscaping and grounds maintenance for San Quentin State Prison.
• Lays out, designs, oversees planting, and maintains flower beds, lawns, shrubs, and trees.
• Plan schedules; requisition materials; read schematics, plans, and blueprints; guide inmate crews in maintenance tasks.
• Ensure pesticides, herbicides, supplies are stored, dated, labeled, and disposed of properly.
• Prepare forms and obtain price quotes from outside vendors; attend training as required.
