Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP in Wichita, Kansas seeks a Lead Groundskeeper to oversee grounds maintenance for our properties. You will supervise routine tasks, ensure safety, and coordinate with the supervisor for scheduling.

Responsibilities include mowing, pruning, irrigation, litter removal, operating mowing and support equipment, and training junior staff. Compensation is $17.50–$18.50 per hour, Monday–Friday, with SBM benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED – preferred
• One year related experience and/or training – preferred
• A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features
• Water and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipment
• Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment
• Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures including use of PPE
• Provide work direction and assistance to grounds team as directed by Supervisor
• Assist in training and scheduling staff as needed
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Monitor employees' proper use of PPE and supplies
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Possibly drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities
