ServiceMaster Clean is seeking a Grounds Supervisor to lead campus exterior maintenance, coordinate daily tasks, and ensure exceptional service quality. You will oversee mowing, planting, irrigation, and seasonal beautification while directing snow removal for safe access.

Position Purpose:
Provides leadership for campus grounds operations by daily activities, maintaining the University's exterior assets, coordinating seasonal operations, and ensuring exceptional service quality.
Core Responsibility & Service Standard:
Leadership & Planning: Coordinate daily work assignments, inspect completed work, and ensure campus appearance meets University
Landscape & Grounds: Oversee mowing, pruning, mulching, irrigation, seasonal plantings, and exterior beautification.
Snow & Ice: Direct snow removal and de-icing operations while
maintaining safe pedestrian access.
Events & Vendors: Coordinate event setups and oversee contractor
performance and quality.
Safety & Equipment: Maintain equipment, enforce PPE usage, and promote safe work practices.
Qualifications:
1. Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a High School education or equivalency.
2. Specialty skills include at least one year of landscape and/or grounds industry experience.
3. Knowledge of basic horticulture, landscape & hardscape maintenance and installation techniques, snow removal & deicing techniques, and athletic field maintenance.
4. Motor vehicle operator’s license.
5. Knowledge of safety practices associated with the operation of all equipment as listed in the job description.
6. Required to have a current Pesticide Applicators License, Categories 6A, 6C & Core and have knowledge of a basic pesticides used in Grounds Management.
7. Ability to perform tasks in low, high, and tight spaces such as, on the ground, trees, and roofs.
8. Ability to use equipment such as ladders and aerial lifts to reach high places such as roofs and trees.

10. Physical Requirements: ability to lift up to 100 lbs. (50 lbs. on a regular basis), carry, reach, sit, write, climb, hear, pull, read, stand, drive, kneel, push, see, stoop, and walk.

12. Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain high level of confidentiality.

Performance Expectations:
Maintain a safe, clean, professional campus environment; respond promptly to service requests; follow OSHA and university safety requirements; communicate effectively with Facilities Management; operate equipment safely; and deliver consistently high-quality grounds maintenance.
