Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• Five (5) years progressive experience in construction, landscape, or grounds maintenance required; or five (5) years athletic grounds experience with ASTM/CPSC knowledge preferred.
• Ability to oversee work of others as a leader and make independent judgments.
• Knowledge of grounds maintenance methods and related hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to learn and interpret work orders, drawings, and manufacturer manuals.
• Active licenses/certifications per job requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare athletic grounds for use and maintain turf, irrigation, and soil health.
• Schedule, assign, and review grounds work, ensuring safety and quality.
• Inspect playground equipment for hazards and repair per ASTM/CPSC guidelines.
• Apply herbicides per applicable laws.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools and supervise fence maintenance and repairs.
• Participate in snow removal and other duties as assigned.
