Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Experience operating, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment.
• Experience supervising grounds construction and improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Transports, operates, maintains, and repairs heavy vehicles and equipment statewide.
• Develops and oversees preventive maintenance programs for vehicles and equipment.
• Maintains vehicle and equipment logs and inventories.
• Prepares specifications for vehicle and equipment purchases.
• Provides bills of materials and action plans for projects.
• Ensures safety and environmental compliance at sites and facilities.
• Performs site work including emergency repairs, grading, and culvert work.
• Schedules grounds maintenance, snow and trash removal to keep grounds clean.
• Adheres to HR policies and procedures, including safety and security standards.
