Job summary

Toronto Blue Jays - Florida Operations is seeking a Manager of Grounds to lead all field operations at TD Ballpark in Dunedin, Florida. You will oversee turf, irrigation, and equipment programs while supervising staff to deliver safe, professional playing surfaces year-round.

The role requires hands-on leadership, experience with field maintenance planning, and a commitment to high standards in a fast-paced sports environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience managing athletic fields, golf courses, or high-end commercial landscapes.
• 3–5+ years of supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced environment.
• OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, schedule, and supervise grounds crew staff.
• Develop and execute annual, monthly, and daily field maintenance plans.
• Maintain turf grass, infield skin, pitcher’s mound, bullpens, and warning track.
• Manage irrigation, drainage, and weather-related field protection programs.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, inventory of grounds equipment and supplies.
• Prepare fields for games, practices, workouts, Spring Training, and events.
• Coordinate pre-game and post-game field prep, including grooming and chalking.
