Job summary

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, are seeking a motivated and hard-working Manager, Field Operations to oversee the agronomic program at Delta Dental Stadium and manage the daily upkeep of the playing surface and greenspaces.

You will supervise the grounds crew, plan field projects, and coordinate with vendors while ensuring field readiness for baseball and special events.

Qualifications

• Degree in Turfgrass Management preferred, but not required.
• 1+ years of experience in athletic field maintenance (3+ years preferred).
• Ability to safely operate and maintain turf-related equipment and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality of work.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Flexible to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Capable of engaging in strenuous physical activity, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Able to work in variable weather conditions, including heat, wind, and rain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the groundskeeping team.
• Assist with planning and execution of projects, including field conversions and cultural practices.
• Train and mentor grounds staff for daily work and event coverage.
• Oversee inventory management of materials and supplies.
• Maintain relationships with outside vendors and contractors.
• Perform and assist with general field maintenance duties, including mowing, fertilizing, and field marking.
• Assist in facilitating on-field events such as high school and college baseball games and non-baseball events.
• Communicate effectively with team members, coaches, and players to ensure field readiness and operational efficiency.
