Job summary

Barrios Engineering, LLC in Central Florida seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead ground-up and renovation projects. You will manage field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and uphold safety, quality, and schedule standards.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and communication to ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and codes. Proficiency with Procore/Bluebeam/Microsoft Project is a plus; valid Florida license and reliable transport are needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or assistant superintendent.
• Experience with ground-up commercial or multifamily construction preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong scheduling and coordination skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Conduct daily jobsite meetings and weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Ensure all work complies with contract documents, building codes, and project specifications.
• Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce OSHA regulations.
• Perform daily quality control inspections and identify deficiencies.
• Coordinate municipal inspections and third-party inspections.
• Review shop drawings and assist with constructability issues.
• Track material deliveries and ensure proper storage and installation.
• Maintain daily reports, site logs, and project documentation.
• Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project managers.
• Manage punch list completion and project turnover.
