Job summary

IBM Research is seeking a Lead GRC Strategist to oversee governance, risk, and compliance within the IBM Quantum program. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure controls are designed, tested, and improved to meet customer trust and regulatory obligations.

The role requires translating regulatory and audit requirements into practical business controls, enabling secure scaling and proactive risk management across a highly regulated, advanced technology environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and information security.
• Proven track record leading SOC 2 Type I & II audits and readiness assessments.
• Experience collaborating with auditors, executives, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the GRC program within IBM Quantum.
• Partner with technical, legal, privacy, and business teams to design and test controls.
• Translate regulatory and audit requirements into practical business controls.
