Job summary

AMD seeks an IT Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and operate high‑performance data center networks powering AI and HPC workloads. Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating large-scale data center networks supporting AI, GPU, HPC, cloud, or distributed computing.
• Strong understanding of Ethernet fabrics, BGP, ECMP, QoS, EVPN, VXLAN and related routing/switching protocols.
• Experience with RoCEv2, RDMA, network performance optimization, observability, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience with network automation, scripting, IaC or operational tooling.
• Experience with enterprise/data center networking platforms such as Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Aruba, ClearPass, Aruba Central, Silver Peak, Infoblox or similar.
• Experience collaborating across infra, platform, systems and data center teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, operate, and continuously improve data center networks for AI and HPC workloads.
• Develop scalable network architectures and optimize performance across compute, storage, and networking.
• Automate network operations and implement solutions that improve reliability and scalability.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis.
• Plan and execute network expansions and infrastructure migrations.
• Support global campus networking technologies including wireless, LAN, WAN and SD‑WAN.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver highly available network solutions.
