Job summary

Minnesota Historical Society is hiring a Google Services Administrator to lead enterprise-wide Google Workspace and Google Cloud administration for over 400 staff, volunteers, and interns.

You will partner with IT teams to implement best practices, manage user roles and devices, troubleshoot issues, and act as the primary escalation point for Google-related support. This role also supports email retention policies and ongoing platform optimization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technology experience.
• Five years of technical support experience.
• Three years designing Google Cloud solutions with Gmail/Groups/Data Migration/Security/Networking/Databases/Management.
• Completed Google certification coursework.
• Hands-on product experience and certificates.
• Ability to perform admin tasks, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and service restoration.
• Foundational understanding of security systems and applications.
• Demonstrated creativity and systems thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise rollout of custom G Suite solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to document business rules and SOPs for Google platform.
• Serve as main contact for Google administration and escalation.
• Oversee email retention to comply with records policies.
• Escalate and coordinate with Google Support to resolve issues.
• Administer publishing and revocation of applications and extensions.
