Job summary

Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club is seeking an experienced Lead Equipment Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and preventative care of the golf course fleet. You will lead a team, managing a John Deere–predominant fleet, while collaborating with the Superintendent to ensure safe, reliable operation and peak performance.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of equipment technician experience preferred (1–3 years for exceptional candidates).
• Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, electrical systems.
• Experience with welding/fabrication and preventative maintenance programs.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and setup of all golf course equipment, utility vehicles, small engines, and licensed vehicles.
• Maintain accurate repair histories, PM schedules, inventory records, and maintenance logs using TaskTracker and other software.
• Manage parts inventory, source replacements, and control costs while keeping a clean, safe shop.
• Assist maintenance staff and coordinate PM scheduling to minimize downtime.
• Support equipment replacement planning and contribute to a culture of safety and teamwork.
