Job summary

Pinecrest Country Club in Longview, Texas, is seeking an experienced Golf Course Superintendent to lead daily maintenance and operations of a Press Maxwell designed championship course. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee agronomic programs, staff leadership, water management, and landscaping to ensure exceptional playing conditions for members.

The club is an east Texas gem undergoing a multi-phase restoration project with greens rebuilt to USGA specs and irrigation upgrades.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
• Warm-season turf experience on high-end courses.
• Texas Applicators License or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Detail-oriented with focus on exceptional conditioning.
• Strong leadership, communication and organization skills.
• Knowledge of irrigation, pest management and turfgrass practices.
• Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture or Turfgrass Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct all golf course maintenance and daily operations.
• Execute agronomic programs to deliver outstanding playing conditions.
• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate team members.
• Set expectations to ensure consistent results.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and safety.
• Manage fertilizer and pesticide programs with records.
• Foster vendor relationships for best pricing.
• Create annual operating budgets with club management.
