Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks a Guidance Navigation Control (GNC) Engineer - Level 5 to provide technical analysis, design, and operations support for space vehicle and payload control systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience or advanced degrees with corresponding experience.
• Experience using MATLAB/Simulink or C/C++ in designing attitude-control or state-estimation algorithms.
• Experience with modeling, simulation, and verification/validation of 3‑DOF or 6‑DOF GNC systems.
• Ability to perform complex kinematics, dynamics, and control analyses for space vehicles and payloads.

Responsibilities

• Translate mission objectives and customer needs into GNC requirements.
• Collaborate across teams to select GNC sensors, actuators, and algorithms.
• Develop and validate 3‑DOF/6‑DOF models and simulations of attitude dynamics.
• Design, implement, and verify GNC algorithms including trackers and controllers.
• Build and integrate software/tools to support GNC operations.
• Provide technical leadership of a small team of GNC engineers.
