Job summary

The Boeing Company in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a Lead Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer with extensive aerospace experience. You will define mission requirements, develop nonlinear simulation models, and design flight control laws while coordinating with flight simulation and software teams to ensure robust, flight-tested controls.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in GNC, a strong Matlab/Simulink background, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 14+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Guidance Navigation and Control engineering.
• Experience using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX to model systems.

Responsibilities

• Define GNC mission requirements and ensure traceability from system to component level.
• Develop and refine a complex nonlinear 6-DOF simulation model using multi-disciplinary data.
• Design and implement flight control laws to meet performance targets.
• Lead design reviews, analyses, simulations and testing to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Train and coach teammates and work with VMS/flight simulation teams to integrate control laws into aircraft software.
