Job summary

The Boeing Company in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a Lead Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer. You will guide GNC mission requirements, build and validate nonlinear 6-DOF simulation models, and develop controllers for flight systems across programs.

Ideal candidates have 14+ years of relevant experience, a degree in engineering, and strong Matlab/Simulink/MatrixX skills, with expertise in real-time systems and flight test support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 14+ years of related work experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years in Guidance, Navigation and Control engineering.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX for modeling.

Responsibilities

• Define GNC mission requirements and ensure traceability to components.
• Develop/Refine nonlinear 6-DOF simulation models using multidisciplinary data.
• Develop/test vehicle models and controllers in C, C++, FORTRAN, Python.
• Design flight control laws and validate against targets.
• Perform nonlinear analysis to refine control laws.
• Validate models with test data to improve simulation accuracy.
• Develop supplementary controllers, limiters and mode logic.
• Collaborate with flight simulation and VMS engineers to implement laws.
