Are you ready to help redefine the future of on-orbit spacecraft operations? A fast-growing satellite company at the cutting edge of Rendezvous, Proximity Operations, and Docking (RPOD) is searching for a Lead GNC Engineer to shape the next generation of autonomous space technologies.

This is a rare opportunity to work on critical technologies that enable spacecraft to reconfigure, refuel, inspect, and protect satellites - and to play a leadership role in a dynamic, mission-driven environment where your ideas move at startup speed.

In this role you will:

• Architect GNC solutions for space domain awareness and RPOD missions, with a strong focus on autonomy
• Design, develop, and validate advanced algorithms for orbit determination, state estimation, and uncertainty propagation
• Build and test dynamic models, sensor simulations, and 6DOF validation tools
• Lead hardware-in-the-loop testing and support flight software integration
• Develop and execute CONOPS balancing thermal, power, momentum, and communication needs
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical direction to a team of GNC engineers
• Collaborate with stakeholders across software, hardware, and mission operations

You will thrive here if you:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related Engineering disciplines
• Bring 5+ years of hands-on GNC engineering experience, including algorithm development and real-world deployment
• Have strong Python skills (C/C++ a plus) and experience working with GNC sensors and effectors
• Excel in fast-paced, startup environments with a proactive, collaborative mindset
• Have the ability to lead complex technical projects from concept through in-orbit operations

Preferred Extras:

• Cradle-to-grave spacecraft systems experience
• Expertise in multi-body astrodynamics
• Familiarity with Linux, Git, and Basilisk simulation environments
• Knowledge of modern approaches including machine learning, Kalman filters, and physics-informed modeling
