A leading casino is seeking a Gift Shop Supervisor responsible for maintaining inventory control and overseeing daily operations. The role involves ensuring merchandise is displayed correctly, managing guest interactions, and generating reports. Responsible for maintaining inventory control in the gift shop, supervising the effective daily operation of the gift shop, and processing all merchandise, and transfers for special events, promotions and/or donations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be computer literate. Two to four years retail experience required, preferably in a casino or hotel. One to two years experience in accounting preferred.
This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.

The employees frequently is required to lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. At times, the employee is required to lift merchandise in storage, for the purpose of organization, and transfer from storage to storeroom. If circumstances request, the employee will have to assist and supervise the transfer of merchandise in storage for various reasons from one place to another.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in high, precarious places.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. A casino environment is typically smoky.
