Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Lead Technician, Endoscopy to supervise GI Endoscopy Technicians, manage schedules for Galveston/LCC/CLC, and mentor staff on safety and procedures. You will ensure equipment knowledge, perform technique reviews, and coordinate with nurses and physicians.

The role requires prior GI Endoscopic Technologist experience, BLS, and certification in endoscopy programs; strong leadership and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced clinical area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of GI Endoscopic Technologist experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certificate of Completion of Endoscopy Technology Program or SGNA Advanced Associates Program.

Responsibilities

• Oversees GI Endoscopy Technicians and guides daily tasks.
• Manages weekly and call schedules for Galveston/LCC/CLC Endoscopy.
• Orients and mentors new GI Techs; ensures competencies and policies.
• Maintains endoscopy equipment logs and supplies.
• Acts as a trouble shooter for equipment and department needs.
