Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Lead General Utility Worker to oversee front and back-of-house maintenance and cleanliness, train and guide utility staff, and ensure all dishes and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized to safety standards. The role requires independent work, teamwork, and the ability to delegate tasks; you will report to management and help uphold Aramark safety policies and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in a similar role.
• Ability to exercise considerable judgment based on previous experience to solve problems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• May act as an informal resource for those with less experience.
• Knowledge of proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment (steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, dishwashing).
• Thorough understanding of basic sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Trains and guides utility staff on job duties and proper safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining clean dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment and utensils.
• Maintains and cleans dishwashing station, three-compartment sink, storerooms, refrigerators and related areas.
• Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition; reports issues to management.
• Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks.
• Maintains excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests and coworkers.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies including food safety and sanitation.
