Job summary

GPAC is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale heavy civil construction projects in the region. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in heavy civil construction with USACE project background and expertise in soil cement and large earthwork.

Responsibilities include coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring schedules and safety standards, and mentoring future superintendents while driving productivity with GPS-enabled grading.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Heavy Civil or General Superintendent.
• Experience on projects valued at $25M or greater.
• Strong USACE project background.
• Experience with soil cement and large earthwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations on large heavy civil construction projects.
• Manage Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, craft labor and equipment.
• Coordinate grading, mass excavation, embankment construction, underground utilities, soil stabilization, soil cement, and concrete operations.
• Drive project productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Owners, Engineers, Inspectors, and Government Representatives.
• Ensure compliance with schedules, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Utilize GPS machine control to maximize grading accuracy and production.
• Assist with project planning, sequencing, logistics, and work plan development.
• Mentor field leadership and help develop the next generation of Superintendents.
