Qualifications

• Must be minimum 21 years of age.
• 2+ years of maintenance engineering experience, preferably in a hotel or industrial setting.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC and building systems.

Responsibilities

THE JOB:

As a Lead General Engineer, you will play a critical role in Engineering operations, resolving complex and escalated maintenance challenges across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance. Through your advanced technical expertise, you will help ensure guest rooms, public areas, and operational departments throughout the property remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will also provide guidance to fellow Engineers and coordinate work assignments for Engineers and Laborers, ensuring timely repairs and efficient daily operations.

THE STARTING RATE:

$41.70

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Support property-wide Engineering operations by coordinating and prioritizing work orders for Engineers and Laborers, while diagnosing and resolving complex or escalated maintenance challenges across multiple trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance
• Oversee the completion of work orders by Facilities Technicians, Laborers, and Engineers, prioritizing urgent or emergent repairs
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) when assigned, overseeing daily Engineering activities and responding to urgent operational concerns
• Collaborate with departments throughout the property to coordinate maintenance activities, address operational concerns, and minimize disruptions to guests and daily operations
• Coordinate the receipt of ordered materials and maintain adequate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies to support timely maintenance and repair operations

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• 2+ years of prior relevant experience as a maintenance Engineer, preferably in a hotel or industrial complex property, required
• Has advanced hands‑on experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems and fixtures
