Job summary

NEOMED's Bitonte College of Dentistry seeks a skilled general dentistry educator for the D3/D4 clinics. The position starts at 0.6 FTE and converts to 1.0 FTE after six months, with duties spanning instruction, supervision and mentorship of predoctoral students in comprehensive care.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical judgment, covering topics such as Operative Dentistry, Prosthodontics and TMD.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree, or equivalent.
• Eligibility to obtain an Ohio dental license or an Ohio Limited Dental Teaching License at the time of appointment.
• AEGD or GPR training is preferred.
• Experience teaching in predoctoral dental education.
• Significant clinical practice in general dentistry (7+ years).
• Knowledge of contemporary digital technologies in clinical practice.
• Ability to collaborate with administrators, faculty, staff and students.
• Commitment to a humanistic culture and student success.
• Experience supervising, assessing and instructing students in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical instruction, supervision and evaluation of predoctoral dental students in all aspects of general dentistry for D3/D4 education.
• Foster student development in patient management, diagnosis, treatment planning and professional conduct.
• Participate in college and university service; involvement in professional dental organizations encouraged.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department Chair.
