Job summary

Join Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) as a Faculty Group Lead in General Dentistry. This 0.6 FTE role will convert to 1.0 FTE after six months, overseeing instruction, supervision, and mentorship of D3 and D4 dental students in general dentistry clinics.

The position emphasizes direct supervision of patient care, diagnosis and treatment planning, and development of clinical judgment, with teaching areas spanning Patient-Centered Comprehensive Dental/Oral Care, Evidence-Based

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree or equivalent.
• Eligibility to obtain an Ohio dental license or Ohio Limited Dental Teaching License at appointment time.
• AEGD or GPR training preferred.
• Significant clinical practice in general dentistry; 7+ years preferred.
• Experience teaching in predoctoral dental education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical instruction, supervision, and evaluation of predoctoral students in D3 and D4 clinics.
• Supervise patient care and assess student performance in the clinical setting.
• Teach in areas such as Patient-Centered Comprehensive Dental Care, Evidence-Based Dentistry, and Prosthodontics.
