RK&K is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for heavy civil/highway construction in Georgia. The role involves managing complex GDOT roadway and bridge projects, supervising CEI teams, and ensuring quality control on site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in heavy civil/highway construction.
• 5+ years of experience managing GDOT construction projects.
• Advanced working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Working knowledge of GDOT manuals, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to understand, explain, and administer contracts; interpret plans, provisions, standards, and specs.
• Understanding of GDOT QA/QC development and execution process.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex GDOT roadway, bridge, and other construction projects.
• Supervise site CEI teams including junior engineers and inspectors.
• Monitor traffic and erosion control on projects.
• Oversee monthly and final estimates, change orders, and claims support.
• Lead preconstruction and progress meetings; participate in reviews.
