Job summary

Staffworxs is seeking a Lead Data & AI Architect to drive a large-scale transformation for a financial services client. You will own the end-to-end Data & AI architecture, focusing on GCP, data lakes, MLOps, and GenAI capabilities.

Based in Charlotte, NC, this hybrid role requires strong executive communication, roadmap development, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams across engineering, security, and risk stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Data, AI, Cloud, or Enterprise Architecture.
• Expert in BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow/Apache Beam, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataplex, Vertex AI.
• Experience with GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, Vector Search, Embeddings and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Data & AI architecture and strategy.
• Define target-state GCP architecture and modernization roadmap.
• Design scalable batch, real-time and streaming data platforms.
• Lead GenAI/Agentic AI architecture and enterprise integrations.
• Drive architecture governance, security, performance and cost optimization.
• Partner with senior business, technology, security and risk stakeholders.
• Guide Data Engineering, AI, Cloud, DevOps and MLOps teams.

Job Summary

Seeking a Lead Data & AI Architect with strong GCP, Data Architecture, AI/GenAI, and Enterprise Architecture experience to lead a large-scale Data & AI transformation program for a financial services client.

Required Skills

• 12+ years in Data, AI, Cloud, or Enterprise Architecture
• Expert in BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow/Apache Beam, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataplex, Vertex AI
• Enterprise Data Lake/Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Products & Streaming architecture
• Strong GenAI / Agentic AI / RAG / Vector Search / Embeddings experience
• Experience with AI/ML architecture and MLOps
• Strong data governance, security, lineage, privacy, and compliance
• Financial Services/Banking industry experience
• Experience defining current-state, target-state architecture and implementation roadmaps
