Job summary

Hyson is seeking a Supervisor for Gas Strut Machining to lead a Swiss lathe and precision component area. The role blends hands-on production with people leadership, scheduling, and continuous improvement in a growing manufacturing cell.

The successful candidate will own daily execution, ensure quality and on-time delivery, and drive 5S and lean initiatives while coaching operators and collaborating with engineering on process optimization.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC machining with Swiss lathe operation experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T calls.
• Experience leading a small production team in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Familiar with ERP or MES systems for scheduling and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities across Swiss lathes to meet schedule.
• Own the gas strut machining cell scheduling and changeovers.
• Monitor output, resolve capacity bottlenecks and issues in real time.
• Collaborate with planning to align schedule with materials and priorities.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to operators.
• HIRE and onboard new team members, support cross-training.
