Job summary

Canter Power Systems LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Lead Gas/Propane Generator Installer to lead fuel-system installations for standby generators. The role requires hands-on experience with natural gas and LP piping, regulators, and pressure testing, with an emphasis on safety and compliance.

The successful candidate will supervise installation teams, coordinate with electricians and project managers, and ensure projects meet manufacturer requirements and company standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with natural gas and propane fuel systems for standby installations.
• Ability to read fuel-system specifications and installation manuals.
• Strong knowledge of gas piping, pressure requirements, and leak testing.
• State or local licenses and certifications for gas/propane work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead natural gas and propane work for standby generator installations.
• Install, modify, and connect natural gas and LP piping for generators.
• Determine proper pipe sizing based on demand and pressure.
• Install regulators, valves, fittings, supports and fuel-system components.
• Perform pressure and leak testing per codes and procedures.
• Inspect existing gas/propane systems and identify required modifications.
