Job summary

Canter Power Systems LLC in Greensboro, NC, is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to join our standby generator installation team. You will lead the electrical portion of residential installations, from site arrival through testing and completion, ensuring safety, code compliance, and customer service.

The ideal candidate has strong residential electrical experience, understands transfer switches and standby power systems, and can mentor less-experienced installers while delivering

Qualifications

• At least one year of hands-on residential electrical experience preferred.
• Standby generator installation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience installing and wiring automatic transfer switches preferred.
• Strong understanding of residential electrical services, panels, grounding and bonding.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, electrical plans and manufacturer manuals.
• Valid driver’s license; state/local electrical licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical portion of residential standby generator installations.
• Install and wire generators, automatic transfer switches, load-management equipment, disconnects and breakers.
• Perform electrical service work required for generator installations.
• Run conduit, wire, and cable between generators, transfer switches, panels and related equipment.
• Complete terminations and electrical connections per codes and specs.
• Assist with generator startup, testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate with other trades and project leadership.
• Lead, train, and supervise electrical helpers.
• Maintain organized jobsite and documentation.
