Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a technical lead or engineering lead role.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and guide complex projects.
• Strong backend, data modeling, APIs, and scalable design experience.
• Experience in building production-grade, user-facing web apps.
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs across frontend, backend, infra, and integrations.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows or tools is a plus.
• Strong UI/UX sense and ability to translate complex data into intuitive UX.
• Autonomous with ability to manage priorities and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership for a small engineering team.
• Design, architect, build, and improve a modern interactive web app.
• Lead architectural decisions and tool evaluations.
• Establish engineering standards for design, quality, testing, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and guidance.
• Break complex initiatives into clear plans and priorities.
• Independently analyze complex problems and develop scalable software solutions.
• Design and implement backend systems, data models, APIs, and integrations.
• Develop clean, intuitive UIs for navigating complex content.
• Integrate AI-enabled features such as intelligent search and recommendations.
• Collaborate with product, design, domain experts, and leadership.
• Remain actively involved in development while leading broader effort.
